Post Office sub-postmasters await compensation

Leverets specialises in public inquiry work – hence we’ve been closely following the progress of the Horizon scandal. Click here to go to our previous analysis the situation. The battle is set to take a new twist next week, when continued issues with the compensation scheme will be explored by the public inquiry. Sub-postmasters believe that their claims continue to be over-scrutinised and they continue to be let down by poor process.

According to a freedom of information request by the Law Society Gazette, the Post Office has spent £23.6 million on external legal advice relating to the compensation scheme 😧. An insane spend that has utterly failed to deliver the swift and fair redress sub-postmasters deserve.
